You better do some research on who discovered the 416 fire before you shoot of your mouth about it. Two of the first people who saw the fire are big D&S fans--one of them even plays Santa on train runs there.
Also, the fire started TWENTY feet from the line, not thirty-seven as you seem to suggest.
Furthermore, in May there were five fires definitely started by the D&S--all successfully extinguished immediately after ignition.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that sending flaming coal embers into tinder-dry brush is a recipe for disaster. Southwestern Colorado ain't the Amish farm country of Pennsyltucky.
Why don't you stick to turning bolts and greasing journals, and refrain from spouting "facts" about things you don't know.
