Well, the SP Western Division Superintendent was at 1707 Wood St. The Western Division crew dispatcher was there along with 3 towers and a couple of yards. There was a time the WP kept their main and crossed over the SP, I think down at the Desert Yard. Never saw BNSF in the area but there was a Jct out towards Richmond where they connected with the old SF.

I only worked into Oakland from the City in engine service. On my layovers, I would walk around and scope out what was what. Only a few dicks bothered me but I told them who I was and I was just trying to see where it was I had to go to work the next morning. (Most of the Special Agents were okay but there was one in San Jose that was a jerk. I was very good friends with a few out of SLO years later.
