Was thru Schellville a month or so ago and noticed what seemed to be a GP-something back in the trees near the station. Didn't have time to stop and look more closely. Condition definitely looked, from the road at speed, like scrap at best.

If you want to run a train on NWP you still can, virtually. Check out (for Microsoft Train Simulator) the "North Coast" territory available at [www.train-sim.com]. You can even get "models" of CCT70 and some other things (visually a little clunky, and you need some familiarity with MSTS hacking to get cabs that work right) that are appropriate for running in that era. Covers the line from Willits to Arcata/Samoa/Korbel and the Carlotta branch.
