The US Navy "neutralized" the French Navy in Morocco. and the British and US forces, did the same, at both Ports in Algeria, in the first few hours of Torch, after the disastrous attempt in Algeria to get them to surrender. And, while the earlier attack on French naval forces, by Great Britain, over two years earlier which certainly impressed the US with Britain's willingness to turn even on its former ally, had neither intended nor measurable effect on the Torch Operations.

Does that really have anything whatsoever to do with those pictures of trains that PDX posted? No.....of course not.
