In the trees to the left, behind the post with streetlight, is a trailer Espee provided for the operators. It was located on The Descanso Terrace, where for many years a LARy funeral car used to sit. It was available to any and all who visited Santa Fe Summit, courtesy of Pacific Railroad Society. I used to camp out overnight there, after Espee installed CTC on the Palmdale Cutoff, and before Santa Fe went paranoid and turned Summit into Stalag 7.
