Sure is good to see these historic icons being saved. Lets hope the AMTRAK route is saved too.
We used to board the Southwest Chief in Las Vegas and enjoy dinner enroute to Trinidad, CO. The following day we would lunch on the return to Las Vegas. The "real Las Vegas" was quite a social adventure those days.....probably one of the few places left where local banks advertised opening up a checking account was "a wonderful modern idea to keep track of your money."
