Had the great privilege of being part of his 1995 California Gold program about the California Zephyr— he was definitely a railfan and. truly amaaazing person, in every way. 17 years later in 2012 i had occasion to meet up with him again and he recalled everything about meeting me filming that program. He died 6 years ago yesterday. 😢
