This article contains valuable criteria to enable thinking about the needs of people at the very basic levels of living. The people of the Slum of Tondo hallmark adaptive reuse and show great potential in their applications respectively. Solutions to better the community's needs are not out of reach when applying the process of architecture and in sifting through and developing solutions for very simple living conditions as presented here in Tondo or anywhere else. These people are no different in their resourcefulness, ingenuity, hopefulness and caring than any other person on earth. The people of Tondo are depicted here as rich in spirit and pride, despite their surroundings. Out of this population will come those with dreams to better their community, perhaps in the form of an architect. That will be a good homecoming!
