The political PH or tenor of California is considerably farther towards the left than in times past. RR could not get elected Guv today.

I would guess the left of the Party will be on the Governor's and Attorney General's case on this one. This is a much bigger deal than in the past. The Party has got young turks like Newsom and Harris and Breed et al looking to make their bones and their rep as "progressives".
