This is a 50-ft. all-steel, double-door car carrier built for the Reading RR in Dec 1939. No trucks or couplers. Coupler pocket damaged on one end. Brake rigging and pipes are present. Bolster on blocks at one end, on the ground at the other end. Interior is clean and dry. Was trucked from the Port of Redwood City scrap yard to the rental center decades ago.

Was on Craig's List recently for FREE to anyone who would move it.

Craig’s List Posting: “Train Box Car that has been used as a storage container for the past 30 years. Worth around $5,000 in scrap steel alone. It has surface rust, but isn’t rotted out anywhere. Wood floor inside. Need it gone by the end of the year. If you can move it, you can have it.”

Property is being sold and car needs to go yesterday if not sooner.
