GEVO Exhaust stack differences?

I was doing some overhead train watching the other day and I noticed there appears to be a difference in exhaust stacks on some of the non-Tier 4 units? Most that I have seen have what resembles a Dash-9 stack, but squatter and divided into two planes. A couple that I saw had a thinner stack almost looking like an old pre-80 Dash-7 stack, but definitely not the tiny offset vacuum cleaner outlet stack the T4's have... Anyone know the difference? Google was useless.
