San Diego & Arizona Eastern Railway Board meeting held October 10th, the freight carrier on the mountain division, Carriso Gorge Railway, announced that they will embargo the line between MP 67.1 and 124 (east of Campo to Plaster City) starting on Friday, October 17th. This action was taken to allow CZRy time to draft a plan for rebuilding several bridges on the line and to review the costs (estimated between 4-6 million by the President of CZRy) and potential benefits of investing those funds. This action stops all interchange traffic with UP at Plaster City (officially) but does not shut the line down to work trains nor does it effect the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum trains running out of Campo as the San Diego & Arizona Railway. Last quarter, the CZRy reported 44 loads for the previous three months.
