Remember the U.P. Sierra Peak PBX? It used to be 161.520mHz Input and 160.290mHz Output, but I haven't heard it used in years. 161.520mHz (as well as 161.505mHz which is used for MetroRail & 161.475mHz which IIRC is used by Baywatch) is licenced to L.A. County and is being used for Air to Ground fire operations.
Although not frequent, RR freqs are sometimes licensed by the FCC to governments, as well as non RR freqs to RRs.
The only U.P. & former S.P. PBX freqs in the L.A. I have had heard used lately are 160.605mHz & 160.890mHz. The former S.P. Oat Mtn. PBX Input 161.160mHz is being used by West Colton Locomotive Shop and I have heard the the former U.P. Sierra Peak PBX Output being used to set up DPUs somewhere.
The Alameda Corridor Road Freq is now using 160.365mHz (which was used by the U.P. TRT-909 recently)and the Sprinter down in San Diego County is using 160.965mHz.
