Nepal is mostly mountains. Narrow gauge is preferred in mountains. So obviously they had to use narrow gauge like the one everybody else (for some reason) calls standard. Once it's all done and connected to the Chinese system, how long before a 3rd rail gets laid in India so through service can be established to major cities there?
