Maybe consider getting a your modem and router as two separate devices with the fastest processing speeds should get the most bang for your buck.
Depending your ISP's policy, they may charge you some money for renting a modem from them. hence why im suggesting you should buy your own modem, after your ISP gives you a green light it will work with them...
And then Linksys (Cisco) is great with routers... get a nighthawk.
