PCC (WSDOT) line shut down

The WSDOT rail line extending east from Hooper, WA to Colfax and Thornton has been shut down
since Jan 23 due to erosion along the tracks near Pampa (west of LaCrosse). After a WSDOT study and bidding process, Shamrock Construction was selected as the low bidder to backfill and riprap the location along Willow Creek. WSDOT hopes to have the line back in operation by April 15 when the new 110 car loader belonging to Northwest Grain Growers comes on line at Endicott.
