Jack.
I don't expect you to rmember me but you and I worked on 4449 one night in the Newhall yard in 92.
It had been a long Saturday when we went to Sacramento and back to San Jose getting in around 11:00 that night. Doyle damn near sucked the rivits ut of the tanks and had us take apart a little turbon motor located under the engineers side of the cab. I still have the flashlight with the scars on it from dropping it in the ballast. A great group of guys and a great trip. I'll never forget the ride in the Yes Dear up and back. That day it was 110 degrees in Sacramento when we were staged on the museum yard tracks. 110 degrees and a fired locomotive. Man, that was brutal.
I also rmemeber you playing switch engine with 4449 as I was in the cab when you coupled onto the two comes that night in preparation to the next days trip.
Again thanks to you and Doyle.
Bill
