Ya gotta be careful of slack in long trains, bunch the slack to pull on them and if successful the speed and slack force increases and things go breaky, breaky about mid-train. Gotta be gentle. Even with todays stronger couplers, you can get a drawbar or knuckle pretty easy---then your conductor teaches you some new words.
