844 leaves April 27. That takes most or all of the
crew away from the shop, does it not? At least until
it gets to Ogden.

Once there, part of the crew stays with 844 to spit
shine it. The rest go back to Cheyenne to shine 4014
and pad the cab window armrests.

IOW, damn little gets done after April 26 due to lack
of bodies.

Therefore, there are now 16 1/2 days left to really
finish 4014.

NOT SAYING it can't be done.

Just saying that the
Almighty Big E loves drama, suspense, and working
without a net. Dragging it out to the last minute
is just another way of doing that.
