I'll add the the 8 ex-Cotton Belt 2-8-0s of the 2861 class were ALL scrapped between 1960-1961
@ Luria Bros. in South San Francisco. This from Diebert & Strapac's Compendium.
A real shame in my book that one or more of these were not saved as they were almost the equivalent of an early MK type as they had 61" drivers with the main being a disc and a t.e. of 50,000 lbs. or a little better. An honest 50 mph engine that would have done really well on the Grand Canyon or better yet, on the San Luis & Rio Grande.
