You can believe whatever you want, but all the
Dash-2 modules specific to the DDA40X were tossed
in the trash in 2011. Along with certain contactors,
and other DDA40X-specific parts, all the repair and
service manuals, wiring diagrams and wiring running
lists, etc. Also note that the 6936 has NOT been
equipped with PTC nor are their any plans to do so.
As to the E9s, ditto the above. And neither A unit
has PTC nor plans to be so equipped.
949 got all new wheels after they were flattened on
the way back from Spencer, NC several years ago.
The only wear on 949's wheels since then came
from the 900 or so mile trip from Kansas City to
Cheyenne, where all 3 units have been sitting for
years.
