Did OERM solve the issue of oil coming out the stack of the Santa Fe FP45 108?

Back in November they loaded up the prime mover to "clean it out" (see quote below). Did that solve the problem? I don't really understand how it works.

Santa Fe #108 handled the main Thomas train Saturday and Sunday. In preparation for that John and Richard rigged the locomotive for self loading to clean out the power assemblies. This involved loading the engine at run 8 and channeling the power through the dynamic brakes resistor bank for a period of time. Naturally, this caused the locomotive to "scream" and generates much heat which is dissipated through the roof fans! SF #108 performed well during the first Thomas weekend
