Evil BOB2 is plotting to destroy Lake Tahoe! Wow, that is some interesting emotional sophistry, but how much ethanol have they found in the Lake waters, and how much tetraethyl lead from motor fuels?
We did lots of stupid things in the past, like allow gasoline to be store in unlined leaking ground tanks, and this has cause plenty of environmental pollution. Back in the "bad old days" we did plenty of things wrong, and being humans, we still do lots of stupid things.
So your apparent logic is that since MBTE's have leaked and are "bad", that denatured leaking ethanol is somehow better for the fish?

Some folks believe that global warming is a hoax, or part of a "vast conspiracy" going back 200 years with hundreds of thousands of people, who have apparently faked millions of thermometer readings Some folks believe that ethanol is a beneficial cost effective, and wonderful way to clean the air we breath and "reduce" CO2 emissions. The evidence suggests that both of those positions are bull$hit, and as you are being ripped off at the pump today, it's bad for you....
I am confused though. Where are all of those refinery's in San Diego located that would use all of the cars of ethanol to make blended summer gasoline, that you "don't" seem to be seeing? I was unaware that we've began blending ethanol at the gas stations, I thought it was still blended at the refinery... Oh well, stupid me, right?
And, I am sadly disappointed with your dubious reply, as you are usually a more thoughtful contributor
