Bob;

Ethanol does not go to the refinery. It goes to the gasoline distribution centers were it is mixed with gasoline & loaded into trucks.

As a gross generalization Ethanol is not pipeline friendly. It absorbs water (like Bardal gas treatment). There is a gas facility in Montebello that forgoes tank cars but I believe the pipeline bringing in ethanol is a dedicated one.
