Nice attempt to dodge answers to the questions. Too
bad it only makes you look even more foolish.
I didn't see any reference to who owns it, who pays
for it, or who they hire or fire. Those are so
obvious that even you get it.
I am a minor stockholder (a few thousand shares).
Yes, I know...big F'n deal! But that that damn well
makes it my business. And when stupid, expensive
business decisions are made, I have a right to be
concerned about it and to question them. I don't
claim the company (it's NOT a private company; it's
publicly owned by stockholders) has to care about
or pay attention to a pipsqueak shareholder like me,
either.
Especially when capital and budgets are being cut
to and into the bone and hundreds of employee are
being laid off all over the railroad while the
money fountain is still flowing at full pressure
for this kind of stuff that contributes absolutely
nothing to share price, company value, customer
service or anything else that matters in the non-
drooler world.
"Willful ignorance" indeed.
I can't wait for the day this circus shows up at
a location where a shop or yard or both have been
shut down and everybody has been fired and see what
kind of goodwill it generates.
