Different world back then in the Bay Area. First started chasing the Permanente local when I first got my Drivers license back in 1996. Still have alot of black and white photographs from when I took photo class in High school, drove teacher nuts with all the railroad content. She would try to throw me a curve ball and assign a project that involved “people at work” so I fire up the truck and head down to the Newhall Yard and capture Hoggers kicking cars and rails riding freight cars. Drove her nuts
