The spin off has been in the news since this summer. News reports yesterday indicated it might be delayed until late this year or early next year due to the current credit crunch making the spin-off re-fi difficult. Lewiston paper and lumber mill will be Clearwater Paper Corp., and the remaining mills to remain under the Potlatch banner for now. Over the last couple of months, I've run into Watco employees that claim the company would like out of it's Washington and North Idaho operations---for a price. (claiming the area is hostile to Watco and they can't make any real money on the GNWR and remaining PCC/BLMR anyway.)
