This was a return to Muni's subway problems of years past. Not the fault of the new cars. Was a defective (or failed) wire splice that snagged the pan of a passing car then tore down about 1000' of wire. Any car, old or new, could have done that, and it could have happened in or out of the tunnel. It's either a material failure (maybe even just worn out), or incorrect installation if it was installed recently. IOW nothing new for Muni, considering the age of the system and the amount of traffic.
