Had Muni management killed off the B in the postwar 1946-50 rip-out of most all of the streetcar lines in the City Geary would have been converted to trolley coach. It was busier than the #5 and the Presidio trolley coach yard is Geary carhouse, right in the middle of the line.

But don't fret; with Hemminger on the SFMTA board all is lost. He is a BART operative and only interested in more bechtel gauge and diesel buses.

SF is hopelessly weirded out these days. Start-up types are placing office tables in parking spaces on the streets and just feeding the meters. You have to wonder why the homeless could not do the same with their tents and just feed the meters all nite. If I were not so old and low in dough I would move to northern Nevada.

My guess is Breed will prove the worst mayor since Art Agnos.
