We are well aware of the locomotives and the nicknames or whatever UP would like to call them, but you haven’t explained what the issue is. Just a bunch of steam blowing.
If a railroad wants to reference its own property by a moniker, so what?
Incidentally, when this “great race” is over, the Living Legend will likely push the not-so-living one back to the roundhouse and the mighty UP will return to its usual focus of parading its hundreds of disrespectful faded and dirty American flag units all over the country.
Personally, I don’t have much of an interest in the events as they are underwhelming for such a monumental occasion as the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad. More representation should have been included such as the 4449, or even a CP representation. But that has already been discussed to death.
If this event interests you, try to enjoy it and don’t be so triggered by the Marketing Departmet.
