I don't have an issue with it.. I find it similar to the term "living fossil" used to describe still extant ancient plants or animals. The 844 was never retired, thus never dead. It's a living fossil. Legend sounds better than fossil. As long as it's not painted in 20" letters down the boiler, who freaking cares. Its mainline steam in 2019.
