Dear Observer:
1. Observe that UP Steam has been working hard to get this machine running for their employer: the Union Pacific Railroad.
2. The UP is paying their steam people and contractors to have a big boy loco running for the 150th. Anniversary of the transcon.
3. The UP isn't paying enough funds to the steam guys for their labor and parts. Their doing their best with a limited budget.
4. "Special" Ed Dickens and his crew has been working his @$$ off to make a "special" train run. A double header in 2019... so there's that.
5. With massive cuts, the PSR crap and all, UP mgmt gave pennies on the dollar to Ed's people to fix without any support. The big boy is operable... needs more work, but its OPERABLE
6. The UP DID NOT restore the Big Boy for foamers entertainment.
7. If you're still whining:
A) Write a letter to Omaha directed to CEO MR. Lanz Fritz with a proposal AND
B) a check to fix the issues you're demanding.
8. UP has the LAST steam program for a class 1 railroad in the USA.
9. If you still disagree with any of the previous observations, go back to Ohio or Observe this:

10. You're welcome.
