I obtained the book when it first came out as a set with "Westward to Promontory" by Barry Combs, which was about building the UP. They were published by American West Publishing Company, which also put out the excellent "American West" magazine. I wonder if anyone has re-released them since. They were very good and would no doubt sell well now. I didn't think the more recent "Nothing Like It in the World" was very good, just kind of a rehash.
