Yes, this round, unlike in the 100th anniversary, it's all UP. TRAINS' articles are all from the UP perspective, and their "special" could have been written for them (maybe it was?) by the UP PR dept. UP seems to want to eradicate all mention of the SP and CP in their railroad history - really, I'm surprised that their mileposts and control points in the far west still use SP numbering (miles to/from One Market Street).
The State Railroad Museum in Sacramento has a major exhibit for the anniversary. UP did not provide a significant contribution. The only media pieces dealing with the CP and the Sierra crossing are in local media in California. Strange, but given the UP-centric outlook of the company perhaps understandable.
