Re: Too many "Transit Authorities"? Or, just one fox guarding all of the chickens?
We could just have the CAHSRA take all of the local transit agencies over in CA, and cut out the "locals" altogether as the "middle man", when it comes to the redistribution of taxpayer wealth, and centralize all of the waste and incompetence in one "proven" agency, to screw everything up, right?
I take it that you're not aware of the spate of serious scandals UTA over the last 7 years....? Be careful what you ask for, you just may get it....
"Reform" in Utah, apparently means a smaller Board, with even less publicly elected representation (the Governor now chooses them all), ultimately resulting in less bad PR, from "too many" pesky Board members, asking "too many" embarrassing questions, not necessarily from better oversight, resulting in less incompetence, self dealing, and corruption.
