Based on Newsome's comments why should the FRA continue to give money to what is for all practical purposes a failed project? He's the one saying that it's not going to be successful so why should anyone expect the FRA to continue to provide funds for it? To me this is good news. The government needs to be doing more oversight making sure our money is spent on projects that will serve the taxpayers and not special interests. Stinkers like this one should have the funding pulled from it.

Maybe the money can be redirected to something that could be useful like the projects that Bob2 has outlined for the LA-San Diego corridor.
