'ssNote correct spelling: Garratt

Advantage: The locomotive has three frames to spread weight: A boiler is mounted on the center frame, and two steam engines are mounted on separate frames, one on each end of the boiler. Designed and patented in 1907 by Herbert William Garratt, most examples were built by Beyer, Peacock of Manchester, England.
