Ten million a mile to get to Cloverdale(16.8 miles for $170 million-for what I believe is actually Windsor to Cloverdale...), that sounds a lot more realistic than anything I've read this morning from that CHSRA report. This is consistent with other costs I've seen for projects like Perris.
The Petaluma II Station costs sounded reasonable. And, that additional funding for cars and other "improvements" (including maybe the missing two track for at speed meets, and the vehicles, to run the service level that they should be running?), also makes sense.
If the modeling shows that extending this to Healdsburg shows this will produce, trips, seat miles, and traffic relief on 101, then that additional cost may be worth the cost of that bridge work.
Of course, it might help folks to understand what they are trying to say, if the Press Democrat had bothered to "fact checked" that "table" against a map, and maybe the actual story, though...
I haven't dedicated my life to promoting complex convoluted all powerful conspiracy theories, involving the machinations of "wide gauge" BART, that insidious Thomas the Tank Engine and his "devious diesel" cohorts at the NWP, or the nefarious evil SMART, and all things "evil" in the Bay Area, by peddling "troll bait", with clever memes, though.
So, I may have a different perspective on those costs....
