How's the food on Amtrak 5 and 6 (California Zephyr)?

I have the opportunity to ride the California Zephyr, and I have questions about the food available on the train.

What's available? How expensive is it? Is it worth eating, or is it awful? Do I need to bring my own, or should I plan on eating in the diner?
