John H. Williams, President
Extensive background in all aspects of the railroad industry, with special expertise in litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, regional railroads, finance, economics, marketing, and policy analyses. He has served as Chairman of the Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad and as Executive Director of the North Coast Railroad Authority. Mr. Willliams holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees, both from the University of Illinois.
Alan D. DeMoss, Principal
An expert in the railroad and motor carrier industries. His service began as a railroad Maintenance-of-Way and Engineering Officer, including General Foreman, Division Engineer and Assistant Engineer of System Maintenance. Mr. DeMoss holds a B.A. degree in mathematics and received an Alfred P. Sloan fellowship to the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
James W. McClellan, Vice President
Over 40 years experience in the areas of public-private partnerships, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure investment and disinvestment, the operation of passenger trains on freight railroads, rail alliances, and intermodal marketing. A long-time employee of Norfolk Southern and its predecessor companies, he was intensely involved in a number of strategic initiatives, including the negotiated split-up and acquisition of Conrail, NS's transition into automotive and intermodal traffic, and its investments in additional capacity. Mr. McClellan has extensive experience with Class I, regional carriers, short lines, passenger operators, and government entities, including the STB, U.S. DOT/FRA and state DOTs.
Judith H. Roberts, Vice President
Broad experience in the areas of railroad mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, economic and financial analysis, and project management. As a consultant since 1982, she has been heavily involved in railroad merger and acquisition projects with emphasis on traffic studies, litigation support, acquisition and operations contract negotiations. Ms. Roberts holds a B.A. in mathematics from Vassar College and M.S. degrees in both transportation planning and operations research from Stanford University.
