Idiot. Amtrak and commuter runs can only average 6 hours OD maximum to maintain single-man head-end crews. Regardless, there is still a conductor, and in some cases an assistant conductor in the train.

RCO is not safe at all. The carriers sweep a large percentage of RCO incidents under the rug to make it look safer than it is.

I love it when all the armchair experts chime in on things they know nothing about.
