Newfies on parade

Three EMD NF210s also known as Newfies lead a loaded sulfuric acid train on the narrow gauge (meter gauge), Ferrocarril Antofagasta de Bolivia FCAB between O'Higgins and Portezuelo at the south end of the Atacama Desert.

The lead motor was built for the CN for use on the narrow gauge operations in Newfoundland, Canada. Only 38 of the 210s were built and the FCAB has the largest operating roster of any left running. Essentially a six axle SW1200 its prime mover is a 12 cylinder EMD 567.
