Regarding the top picture: ( Looking East / Southeast ) West Coast Grocers' big concrete tilt - up building, visible through the rail bridge girders, is still there, as is the boat builder's dry dock to the left. I believe the yellow building is also still there, as is Dock St., which BNSF now runs parallel to. The U.P. draw bridge ( and road lanes on either side ) is gone. The Northern Pacific Original Line ( Tacoma to Tenino via Nalley Valley, Lakewood, Roy, and Yelm ) drawbridge & trestle is gone; I believe it crossed over the City Waterway to the left of the Boat Yard drydock, the UP Jct. Train Order Depot, and all tracks visible in the upper photo.
Regarding the lower photo: (Looking almost due North ) the weed - covered single track to the far left climbing up the hillside is the link from NP's Original Line to NP's Halfmoon Yard, which was located across the tracks from the ( now TEMCo ) grain elevator. This line joined the NP Original Line behind Union Station for the run up Nalley Valley. All BNSF tracks are parallel to Dock St. The track left swerve was for access to Union Station; all station trackage is replaced by Interstate 705. The bridge spanning the tracks at top of picture is still there, restored a few years ago as The Murray Morgan Bridge (aka 11th St ) and is open to auto traffic, though the streetcar tracks are long gone.
