A "Welcome back NWP" party? sounds fun and quite do-able. I'd attend. The discussion has been passionate and informative and indicates the range of knowledge and curiosity that is out there. How often do we see a railroad rise from the ashes(Metaphorically)to once again be profitable?

On a similar subject, What was the initial estimate of ridership for the ACE trains prior to their starting service and how fast was ridership such that standing room only conditions were experienced. Perhaps the same will be true of SMART.
