Insider sources at the NWP lunatic fringe fanboy website are indicating that wealthy Sonoma County landowners owning land betweeen Windsor and Cloverdale are organizing to prevent the extension of SMART north. Reason: bitterness over the expensive installation of "crossing guards" that need to be tied into the ATC system which will be used north of Windsor instead of PTC.

This news comes from a highly placed IT executive who learned of the plan from his winery customers. This "Grape Stomper Rebellion" is likely nothing more than a negotiating tactic as SMART is currently hiring political operators to handle a shady sales tax renewal scheme which will be a goner if wealthy, snail-eating winery-owning vinophile alcoholics aren't appeased with concessions, most likely at taxpayer expense. But it's maybe also likely, maybe even certainly likely, that the winery owners would prefer to keep SMART relegated to Healdsburg and not intrude on their wine-growing and wine-making activities as well as marijuana grows.

This should all be taken with a grain of salt--the salt of fake news. This bombshell was dropped in a thread created by a fellow who previously posted a Fake News blog post about Corte Madera demanding SMART extend south a mile and a half. Turns out to be fake news and and he edited it to make it look like a "hypothetical" but the title suggests actual fact. Also both of these people are named Richard and are probably the same person.
