Hi Misty,

During the Novato city council meeting last Tuesday the council voted to drop the lawsuit. Before the vote was taken the city attorney addressed the council and explained the lawsuit and answered questions in public. Responding to a question Mike Arnold had asked the council the City attorney stated. The lawsuit brought against the NCRA by the City of Novato had NO bearing on the proposed reopening of the Island Mountain quarry. This was a issue the Novato lawsuit simply did not address..... Mr. Arnold looked surprised and disapointed . It would seem as though Novato was concerned with what they could extort from the railroad while Mike Arnold and the Friends of the Eel thought it was all about them and stopping Island Mountain. Who is using who?
