BART's ## are guesswork at best. I rarely see someone jump a turnstile, but Many farebeaters use elevators which are outside fare control, rarely watched by booth occupants--to call them station agents would imply they actually performed services rather than hang out in the booths often chatting w/other BART personnel. How much BART loses (fails to gouge riders) is totally unclear.
