New UP facilities have been constructed about a quarter mile east of where the now gone SP facilities had been. The balloon track is still there, but in a smaller form.

The Truckee Donner Railroad Society has rotary SPMW 210 and derrick SPMW 7050 on display in a nice spot right next to the mainline about where the old SP facilities had been. Prior to the area being redeveloped the society also used to have a GE #1605, blunt end sleeper SP 9053, and a SP caboose without trucks. Does anyone know the fate of them? They don't seem to be in the area after things were redone.
