Now that we have a cost per passenger of $3.00 and a subsidy of $1.00, we have one variable. Now, all we need is the number of passengers and average trip length and we can get the cost per passenger mile. Then we need that for the DIA train. And, we need ons and offs at the respective airport stations, to compare total trips to airport trips, so we can compare costs and subsidies of "airport" passengers.
I am very impressed with the cost and the whole DIA concept of operations. The DIA PPP is having to recover operating and maintenance costs, as well as, I seem to recall, at least some of the capital costs. Trimet, if these number are correct, is only including O & M costs in this "cost per passenger" number, not capital cost recovery.
And, a troll, oh my aren't you impressive....
