That may be fine for you, but don't tell me I have to live that way. Some of us don't want to live in cramped high rises where you can hear everything everyone else is doing, and depending on government transportation.

I agree that we need alternative energy sources, but right now none are feasable. Here in Kansas, we have windmills going up everywhere. What happens when there is no wind and the sky is cloudy? Believe it or not, we do have calm days here in the plains. You can't just fire up a coal plant the minute the wind stops. We could set up windmills in Washington. There is probably enough wind generated there to power the whole country and then some.

Coal is abundant and cheap(for now). We would be fools not to use it based on junk science. Even if global warming is occuring, the earth has built in safeguards. Increased heat would cause more evaporation from the oceans. This would cause more clouds to form, blocking sunlight. Another myth is that climate is constant. I don't know the exact history, but there have been ice ages and warm ages throughout the history of the earth. Why would that change now?
